Everything You Need to Know for Party in the Plaza

Everything You Need to Know for Party in the Plaza

It’s almost time Calgary - we can’t wait to welcome you to the freshest summer sendoff in the city! To ensure you have the raddest night ever, we’ve put everything you need to know in one place. Bringing all of your friends? Share this with them too!

WHERE IS IT?
Party in the Plaza will take place in Olympic Plaza located at 228 8th Ave SE

There will be one entrance located on the Southwest corner of the Plaza. This event will be gated, and bags will be checked upon entry. No pets are permitted, with the exception of service animals. Anyone onsite must adhere to standard City of Calgary park rules - no dogs or other pets will be allowed.

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?
Access to Olympic Plaza will open at 6pm, and we recommend arriving as early as possible to grab your spot, a bite from one of the food trucks, or a drink from the bar. DJ C-Sik and Fatrok will get the party started! Entry will be subject to capacity limits throughout the evening.

Performance schedule:
7pm: The 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop Celebration Presented by 10 at 10
8pm: Kiesza
9pm: Kardinal Offishall

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

  • A blanket and festival chairs if you plan on sitting for the show

  • ID if you are over the age of 18 and plan on drinking - Olympic Plaza will be licensed to serve alcohol during this event, and you will be asked to present your ID at the bar to receive a wristband.

  • A debit or credit card to purchase food and beverage at our onsite concessions. Cash will not be accepted. Also, outside food or drink is not permitted in the Plaza during this event.

  • Extra layers of clothing - A little rain won't stop this party, and you never know with the Calgary forecast! If extreme weather is expected, a call will be made closer to the performance date.

  • A charged cell phone or camera - We can't wait to see your photos! Use the hashtag #ACPresents and tag us @yycARTS to show us all of your favourite moments throughout the evening.
