Dazzling Puppets Amaze Families and Dinosaur Lovers of all Ages

Dazzling Puppets Amaze Families and Dinosaur Lovers of all Ages

This May, Arts Commons Presents invites you to experience a a “spectacular interactive show” that’s “a breathtaking prehistoric safari” live on May 25 in the Jack Singer Concert Hall at Arts Commons - Dinosaur World Live.

Roaring onto the stage this spring, Dinosaur World Live is an epic live show for families and young audiences that brings the ancient past to life! The story follows Miranda who has grown-up on a far-off island where dinosaurs never went extinct. The true stars of the show are the larger-than-life puppets designed to be as lifelike as possible operated by expert puppeteers. The smallest fits comfortably into the puppeteer’s arms, and the largest needs four people to move it!

“There’s a moment in rehearsals when the puppeteers get it right, and this collection of metal, plastic and paint is suddenly alive in front of you,” says director Derek Bond. “When Titus (our T. rex) emerges, the audiences either jump out of their seats or hide under them! But when Miranda needs help to drive Titus back off the stage, everybody joins in. It’s great to see children overcoming their fear and fiercely roaring at a 10m-long T. rex!”

A hit with audiences and critics alike, Dinosaur World Live will amaze dinosaur fans big and small. Don't miss their visit to Calgary, plus, find out how you can even meet the puppets after the show!

Join Arts Commons Presents on May 25 at 2pm for a spectacular performance that you have to see to believe! Learn more at artscommons.ca/dinos.
