10 Things That Defined the Year 2003

10 Things That Defined the Year 2003

Woah - can you believe 2003 was TWENTY years ago?! We can’t either! But we’re in the mood to relive all things Juicy Couture, and remember all the defining pop culture moments that were so yesterday. Keep scrolling to find out the top 10 things that made your world go round two decades ago.

1. Ruben & Clay divided millions of viewers on the American Idol season 2 finale

It was Ruben who came out on top, but with just 134,000 votes out of 24 million! You can come relive this moment with us IRL in Ruben & Clay: Twenty | The Tour on September 29th at 7:30 p.m. in the Jack Singer Concert Hall. Get your tickets for as little as $33. Plus, it’s the only event this year where you won’t have to choose between a dress or jeans - just wear both!

2. The third generation of the iPod launched, along with iTunes

Remember how excited you were to buy SINGLE songs and keep them in your pocket?!

3. Finding Nemo was released

It’s safe to say this movie made history for Pixar and changed the landscape of CGI animation forever.

4. Cristiano Ronaldo made his Premier League debut at the young age of 18

Where did he ever end up? Just kidding! We all know he’s now the highest paid athlete in the world (but here’s a picture of a young Cristiano to refresh your memory... just in case😉).

5. Dawson’s Creek and Buffy the Vampire Slayer wrapped up years of iconic storylines

For the record, we’re still Team Pacey.

6. Low-rise jeans were a thing

That’s all. No further comment.

7. THAT Britney and Madonna VMAs Moment

What happens when the Queen of Pop meets the Princess of Pop on stage? They seal their alliance with a kiss, of course.

8. The OC Premiered

Californiaaaaaaa!

9. The fifth Harry Potter book, The Order of the Phoenix, was published

Voldemort stepped aside in this one so that we could meet a character we hated even more – Dolores Umbridge.

10. The Terminator became the Governor of California

Sadly this is the last memory on our list. But don’t worry – we'll be back.

To keep your nostalgia rolling, don’t forget to get your tickets to Ruben & Clay: Twenty | The Tour on September 29th, here
